Infinity Ward has announced a number of confirmed actors for the characters in Modern Warfare 2.
As some have already of guessed or known, there were two renowned British actors who starred in Call of Duty 4; ‘Captain Price’ was the voice of Billy Murray, who played ‘Johnny Allen’ in Eastenders, ‘Don Beech’ in The Bill and ‘Mickey Steel’ in the movie Rise of the Footsoldier. ‘Gaz’ was the voice of Craig Fairbrass who has played alongside Billy Murray in a number of similar TV series and movies.
Craig Fairbrass has been confirmed as a voice actor for Modern Warfare 2 under the alias ‘Ghost’ who wears a skeleton mask and will be playing a leading part, like ‘Gaz’ in CoD4. We’ve also heard rumours of DC Comics, best known for Superman and Batman, are giving Infinity Ward a hand on creating this ‘Ghost’ character. Impressive or what?!
There are, in fact, a number of confirmed Hollywood actors to be involved in this game, Robert Bowling (Community Manager of Infinity Ward) confirmed on twitter - "It's all coming together! Kevin McKidd, Craig Fairbrass, Barry Pepper, Keith David & Glenn Morshower's final voice work going into the game." This should definitely be interesting!
You may recognise Barry Pepper from such Hollywood movies such as Saving Private Ryan as ‘Pvt. Daniel Jackson’ and The Green Mile as ‘Dean Stanton’. Pepper has been starring in some juicy Hollywood films over the past decade and so to find him starring as a voice actor in Modern Warfare 2, surely is quite something.
Glenn Morshower is also confirmed, as an unknown character at this time, in the game. He is most famous for his role in 24 as the Secret Service agent ‘Aaron Pierce’. He’s also starred in massive box office films such as Transformers, Pearl Harbour and Black Hawk Down. This game is really turning out to be something more than huge!
And to top it off, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will be a supporting voice actor for MW2. His roles will be mixed as he has supposedly been given minor role sentences and he will be one of the voices in the multiplayer for lines such as “cover me, I’m reloading!”
This game could not get any bigger… surely?
